THE MISSION OF THE QUEBEC ASSOCIATION OF ORAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL SURGEONS IS TO INFORM THE GENERAL PUBLIC OF THIS PRACTICE
The oral and maxillofacial surgeon evaluates and treats problems, diseases, injuries and anomalies in the mouth (buccal), of the jaw (maxilla) and of the face (facial). We are specialized, certified dentists who perform surgery on teeth, bones and the muscles of the jaw and face, from extracting the most difficult tooth to repairing the most complex fracture.

2021 Annual meeting
An oral and maxillofacial surgeon is trained and has expertise in medical, dental and surgical procedures. Each specialist attends several international continuing education classes. Dental Implants
Dental implants are a solution to replace missing teeth ranging from a single tooth to full mouth rehabilitation. A surgical phase requires placement of a titanium screw inside the jaw bone ( done by, among others, an oral and maxillofacial surgeon ). The crown ( tooth ) is placed on the healed implant.
